We act for builders and developers in the purchase of commercial property and act for both landlord and tenant in the leasng of commercial property. As solicitors for Ossian. over the last ten years we have accumulated a wealth of experience in the purchase and sale of residential developments.
Wills and Executries
We have extensive experience in preparing a Will which suits your personal circumstances. Our fee for the preparation of a standard Will is £135 plus VAT and for a couple making the same type of Will the fee will be £195 plus VAT.
In dealing with the administration of Executries, we can:-
- Prepare the application for the appointment of the Executor, if required.
- Obtain a Bond of Caution required by the Court.
- Prepare and submit the application for Confirmation to the Sheriff Court.
- Ingather the estate and distribute to the entitled beneficiaries.
Powers of Attorney and Guardianship Applications
We can prepare Power of Attorney and Guardianship Applications. Our fee for single is £381 and for a couple is £522.
Our work involves the preparing of the document, confirming its terms with the client, having it signed and thereafter submitting to Public Guardians Office for registration.
In addition, we can prepare applications for Guardianship or intervention Orders to the appropriate Sheriff Court as required. This will include obtaining the appropriate Medical Reports and the report from the Mental Health Officer and thereafter, attendance at Court.

Our main area of expertise is dealing with the division of the matrimonial property with a view to entering into a Separation Agreement.
This will involve negotiations surrounding for example, the family home, the division of any Pension entitlements and any responsibility for any debt.
With Court action as a last resort, our focus is to resolve the issues surrounding the division of the matrimonial property.
